Bodhi Heart Tibetan Refugee Support Project has been established to assist in improving the lives of the Tibetan refugee communities in Nepal and India. Through the financial sponsorship options described below, you can help provide independence, physical well-being and a viable future for Tibetan refugees.

You can assist the Tibetan refugee communities in the following ways:

SPONSOR THE MONASTIC COMMUNITY

All contributions to the monastic community will go towards assisting the monastics residing at Rumtek monastery, the principal seat in exile of His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa. As a Karma Kagyu lineage holder who grew up at Rumtek, The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is also deeply connected to this monastery. Bodhi Heart provides monks and nuns with financial assistance to enable them to pursue with their Buddhist studies, and to pay for food, clothing, and medicine.

SUPPORT THE EDUCATION OF A TIBETAN REFUGEE CHILD

Families in the Tibetan refugee communities need assistance with the cost of educating their children. Because there is no free public school education available, your sponsorship will offer these children the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to attain financial independence and to support their families. Your contribution of $40.00 US per month can sponsor one child's education. You may correspond directly with the child you are sponsoring and learn more about their studies and their daily lives.

PROVIDE FOR EMERGENCY FUNDING TO REFUGEE FAMILIES

Your contribution will go wherever financial aid is requested for medicine, food, and clothing.
